Kate Treanor directs Grantmakers In Health's (GIH) programs addressing operational and administrative challenges faced by foundations as they seek to make a difference in the health of individuals and communities. Prior to joining GIH in 2000, she was a senior policy analyst at America's Health Insurance Plans, supporting the association's lobbying efforts and informing its members on health plan participation and enrollment in Medicare+Choice, state Medicaid programs, and the State Children's Health Insurance Program. Ms. Treanor has also held positions at the Advisory Board Company, which conducts research and analysis of trends in the health care industry, and Capitol Health Management Company, a venture capital firm specializing in start-up health care companies. Ms. Treanor received a bachelor's degree in human services from The George Washington University and a master's degree in social work from The Catholic University of America.
