Cosponsored with Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders and the Convergence Partnership

One of the largest barriers for securing adequate health care is language. Indigenous farmworkers from the state of Oaxaca are the fastest-growing farmworker population in California. Many of these farmworkers are from Mexico, where there are 11 language families, 68 indigenous languages, and 364 linguistic variants. This webinar explored collaborative partnerships and the integrative work happening across multiple sectors, which is helping increase the access of health care for farmworker communities. Speakers included: Yessica Ramirez of Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project and Victor Sosa of Indigenous Interpreting.
