Family Caregiving: New Horizons for Caring Across America

Cosponsored with Grantmakers In Aging, Archstone Foundation, and The John A. Hartford Foundation

There are roughly 18 million family caregivers of older adults in the United States, who provide the majority of long-term care services and supports to their loved ones. The varied and increasingly complex roles of family caregivers – and the implications for social, health, and economic realities of the families in question – have brought family caregiving to the forefront of public policy. This webinar discussed a recent National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine report Caring Across America, promising approaches and some ways in which we all can play a role in the solution. Speakers included: Donna Benton of University of Southern California Family Caregiver Support Center, John Feather of Grantmakers In Aging, and Rani Snyder of The John A. Hartford Foundation.
