Activity on Tap: Looking Across the Drinking Water Landscape

Cosponsored with Biodiversity Funders Group, Environmental Grantmakers Association, Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities, and the Health and Environmental Funders Network

Communities across the United States are addressing drinking water challenges, from systems coping with droughts or flooding to people troubled by their tap water’s safety or affordability. Public passion for safe, affordable, accessible drinking water is also fueling organizing and advocacy in and across rural and urban places. The landscape of drinking water work is broad and varied, as are the responses being supported by foundations. In this webinar, participants learned about a new funder guide on drinking water and discussed highlights from three hubs of activity tackling drinking water challenges. Speakers included Juliet Christian-Smith of Water Foundation, Radhika Fox of US Water Alliance, Tom Neltner of Environmental Defense Fund, and Nse Witherspoon of Children’s Environmental Health Network.
