Funders Breakfast at the National Summit on Advanced Illness Care: A Roadmap for Transformation
Grantmakers In Health (GIH) is cohosting a special funders’ breakfast at the 2013 National Summit on Advanced Illness Care: A Roadmap for Transformation with the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC) on January 30, at 7 a.m. at the National Academy of Sciences building in Washington, DC.
The breakfast program will provide an opportunity for funders to interact with C-TAC leadership and discuss the mission of the coalition and key partners, and the coalition’s action plan to effect national, high-impact change on behalf of patients and their families living with serious illness. The second portion of the agenda will provide funders an opportunity to interact with fellow grantmakers in a discussion facilitated by GIH about:
- the present work and future role of health philanthropy in promoting progress in the field of advanced illness care,
- the implications of the summit’s content for the work of health funders and public policy, and
- the role GIH and its partners should play in supporting funders and their work in this field.
If you wish to attend the summit (January 29-30) and the funders’ breakfast, register now. C-TAC is offering funders a reduced registration fee of $200. Space is limited! When you register, please indicate that you are a funder and will be joining us for breakfast to receive the discounted rate. Please also contact Kevin Kappel (firstname.lastname@example.org, 202.434.7467) directly so he can place you on the participant list and secure your spot.
