Houston, Texas

Across the country, great strides have been made in reducing the number of uninsured children and increasing their access to health care. Philanthropy, research organizations, and advocates have been key partners in leading those efforts.

In this meeting, participants learned about the current status of research, advocacy, and coverage implementation efforts in Texas and to discuss grantmaking strategies related to children’s access to health care. This strategic conversation was intended for funders in Texas who are interested in beginning work in this area, as well as those who want to deepen work that is already underway. Our meeting built on previous conversations, including last year’s meeting, “Building a Legacy of Healthy Children in Texas.

Advancing Children’s Health Care in Texas will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Houston, Texas, at the Christ Church Cathedral. Stay tuned for additional meeting details, including the agenda. We hope you will join us!

Cosponsored by the Episcopal Health Foundation Support provided by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation
