Funding patient-driven movements in health philanthropy is increasingly important as a catalyst to achieve system transformation. Funder collaboratives are an ideal way to achieve critical mass while sharing risk for these long-term multisector investments.  Cambia Health Foundation, Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, Peterson Center on Healthcare, and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation are working together to spread the OpenNotes movement, and have insights from the proposal design, co-funding and management of this multifaceted $10 million project.
