Healthy Food Hits the Road: Making Good Food Available and Affordable in New England's Food Deserts

Mike Devlin
Director of Grants & Initiatives
Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation

Enter the mobile market strategy, which the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation has pioneered in communities in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. Retrofitted buses, vans, and trucks deliver a variety of fresh local foods to places where customers live, work, and get health care or other social services.
