Join your grantmaking peers to learn how safety net providers are fostering the adoption and use of health information technology (HIT) to improve health outcomes, increase access to care, and reduce disparities. This site visit to the Community Clinics Initiative (CCI) will take place September 26-27, 2007, in Los Angeles, California.
A partnership between The California Endowment and Tides Foundation, CCI has fostered significant progress in the adoption of HIT. Staff from both foundations, as well as the program’s physician champions, will share how this unique partnership has provided community clinics with creative solutions to leverage available HIT funds, avoid duplication of efforts, and increase their capacity to improve the health of the communities they serve. We will also visit St. John’s Well Child and Family Center to get a firsthand look at how, through HIT interventions, it has improved the quality of care provided to its diverse patient population.
GIH has reserved a block of rooms at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel at a special room rate of $169. The hotel is located at 251 South Olive Street, Los Angeles, California.
