2009 GIH Directory of Health Conversion Foundations with Community Advisory Committees
On May 18-19, 2009, GIH and the Maine Health Access Foundation cohosted a national meeting on community engagement and effective health grantmaking in Portland, Maine. Foundations formed from health care conversions have a unique responsibility to ensure participation from the communities they serve. This meeting explored how foundations seek community input from formal community advisory committees (CACs) to listening tours, surveys, and focus groups. The GIH directory of health conversion foundations with CACs was updated for the meeting.
