GIH is seeking nominations of interested, capable grantmakers willing to commit their energies and talents to furthering our mission and vision. Candidates who represent the diversity of the field across a variety of dimensions including gender, race and ethnicity, political ideology, geographic location, foundation type, foundation size, personal skills, and life experiences, are encouraged to apply. Nominations must be received by Friday, September 12.

Nominate the 2009 recipient of The Terrance Keenan Leadership Award in Health Philanthropy. This annual award honors outstanding grantmakers whose leadership and thoughtful application of philanthropic resources have forged permanent improvements in health through innovation, risk taking, and boldness. Save the Date: 2008 Fall Forum

Join GIH in Washington, DC, for the 2008 Fall Forum, the time each year when we focus our energies on issues at the intersection of health policy and health philanthropy. The meeting will take place November 20-21 and will feature two Issue Dialogues: Effective Community Programs to Fight Health Disparities and Rural Health Care: Innovations in Policy and Practice. The Fall Forum will also feature the plenary session "Reflections on the 2008 Elections: What Do the Results Mean for Health and Health Care?"
