About The Colorado Trust
The Colorado Trust was established in 1985 when the nonprofit PSL Health Care Corporation was sold to a for-profit organization. The proceeds of the sale were used to create a foundation dedicated exclusively to the health of the people of Colorado. Since that time, The Colorado Trust has worked closely with nonprofit organizations in every county across the state to improve health and well-being. In 2008, The Trust committed to a 10-year goal to achieve access to health for all Coloradans by 2018. To realize this vision, The Trust works with others to ensure that all Coloradans have adequate health coverage and access to a responsive and comprehensive health care system, including an adequate supply of health care providers who deliver quality, affordable health care services. The Trust supports grantees in the development and implementation of policies, programs and services that expand health coverage and improve and expand health care. As of December 31, 2009, The Trust had total assets of more than $360 million. The Trust employs 23 staff members.

The Trust seeks a seasoned leader with a broad-based skill set encompassing all areas of the CEO’s responsibilities. Experience in health policy, health reform, health coverage and/or health care administration; understanding of the public policy dimensions of The Trust’s work in these areas, and ability to provide strong advocacy for The Trust’s interests is required.
