GIH Names New Board Members and Officers

GIH is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its board of directors as well as a new slate of officers for 2005-2006. Jim Kimmey, president and chief executive officer of the Missouri Foundation for Health; Ann Monroe, president of the Community Health Foundation of Western and Central New York; and Bob Ross, president and chief executive officer for The California Endowment were approved as the newest members of GIH's board of directors. Their service is effective immediately.


The board also approved a new slate of officers for the coming term. Jeannette Corbett, of the Quantum Foundation, Inc. will remain as chair; and Gene Cochrane, of The Duke Endowment, will remain GIH's treasurer. Taking over the role of vice chair will be Cristina Regalado, from The California Wellness Foundation. Karen Voci from the Rhode Island Foundation, will become the board secretary. And finally, Margaret O'Bryon, of Consumer Health Foundation, will be taking over the role of member-at-large.  


Matt James, Alicia Lara, Stephen Schoenbaum, Corinne Rieder, and Marguerite Johnson will all be leaving the board. GIH thanks them for their years of service.
