SUMMARY:Open Enrollment Opportunities and Challenges
DESCRIPTION:This fall’s open enrollment period to apply for health insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act presents a tremendous opportunity to reduce the rising number of uninsured people throughout the country. Foundations have long supported consumer assistance related to health insurance enrollment and retention. This webinar provided an overview of strategies for reaching the newly uninsured and a discussion of potential solutions for the outreach challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants heard directly from advocates about their targeted work in communities.
