SUMMARY:Expanding Telehealth Equitably
DESCRIPTION:Telehealth brings health care directly to patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic\, federal and state government took actions to remove telehealth policy barriers\, which expanded remote health care access\, preserved supplies of personal protection equipment\, and decreased disease exposure for patients and providers. Much has improved over the course of the past year\, but inequities remain\, especially for patients with lack of access to broadband or with limited English proficiency. This timely conversation dives into the regulatory changes that have occurred\, the service expansions that were achieved\, and the future of those improvements. Participants learned telehealth’s limitations and explore how philanthropy can help make this service delivery mode more equitable for all.
