SUMMARY:Health Equity Networking Call
DESCRIPTION:Grantmakers In Health is pleased to convene the Health Equity Network and connect with peers at foundations and corporate giving programs around the country. This first networking call of 2022 focused on language and narrative change. As we approach the third year of the pandemic\, many philanthropic institutions are working to ensure that health equity remains front and center in their internal governance and operations and external grantmaking and partnerships. These are long-term efforts\, which will require rethinking how health funders talk about equity; translate equity concepts and frameworks for their trustees and communities; and invest in efforts to shift social\, political\, and cultural narratives. \nOur 90-minute call was held on: Wednesday\, March 29 2022/2:00 p.m. Eastern \nThis call is part of a series of ongoing discussions to improve trends\, innovations\, funding needs\, data collection\, community engagement\, and equity audits.
