We are seeking a skilled and experienced program officer to support the Foundation grants management and operations in its practice of using data to measure performance, inform operational and programmatic decisions, ensure data quality, and improve grantmaking processes.  The program officer is primarily responsible to uphold the quality of our online grants management system and grant records, as well as to provide administrative and programmatic support to Health Foundation staff and initiatives.  This role maintains the back-office data infrastructure; identifies market needs/opportunities and substantiates grants.


  • Administers all components of the grants cycle, including: database management, grant documentation, grant compliance, grantee reporting, payment schedules and check processing
  • Ensures quality assurance of the grants management system and assists with data literacy and analysis.
  • Serves as advisor for grants management system with both internal and external audiences, including troubleshooting and assurance of data integrity.
  • Manages GMS platform to ensure a user-friendly product and implement systematic changes and/or in-depth system configurations for improved internal workflow processes.
  • Works collaboratively with finance team to ensure complete and accurate records of all foundation expenditures
  • Works with program team to ensure grantmaking inquiries are responded to appropriately, provide technical assistance on grant budgets and application guidelines when needed, and ensure compliance with reporting and payment requirements.
  • Provides accurate grant data / information and develops dashboard reports to Foundation staff, Board of Directors, and other internal and external stakeholders


Education (experience can be substituted for education)
Required: Bachelor’s Degree Data Science and/or Grants Management.


Work Experience (education can be substituted for experience)
Required: 4 – 6 years
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Experience with data analytics and CRM software such as Salesforce.
  • Experience in grants management, healthcare, government, and/or not for profit services.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity in an evolving organization while helping the organization build and maintain structure for consistency.
