We are seeking a skilled and experienced Program Officer to join our team.  This role provides programmatic support and assists in the planning and administration of grant making for the Foundation.  The Program officer coordinates program activities and maintains collaborative relationships that meet the expectations of funders, partners, and stakeholders.


  • Develops concept and project proposals with regional stakeholders; provides consultation on grant funded projects.
  • Collaborates with Leadership on vision and strategy; identifies opportunities for program development and improvement.
  • Evaluates implements strategic healthcare projects within the parameters of organizational objectives.
  • Fosters an environment for team accountability and monitors goals and performance against objectives and expected outcomes.
  • Generates status reports for proposals and grants; incorporates knowledge of health trends into the grant making process.
  • Conducts site visits and fosters community engagement; participates in discussions and conferences related to local and regional healthcare policy and delivery systems.
  • Develops new programs based on needs analysis in accordance with local, state, and/or federal requirements.


Education (experience can be substituted for education)
Required: Bachelor’s Degree Public Health, Public Administration, Healthcare, or Social Work.
Preferred: Master’s Degree Public Health, Public Administration, Healthcare, or Social Work.


Work Experience (education can be substituted for experience)
Required: 4-6 years

4-6 years

Experience in health services and program assessment and development.

Experience in not-for-profit management.
