Rural Health Leadership Group
During this third conversation in GIH’s leadership series on rural health, GIH President and CEO Cara James convened rural leaders to advance recovery in rural areas and to increase philanthropic investments in those regions.
On this call, participants heard from Tom Morris, Associate Administrator for Rural Health Policy in the Health Resources and Services Administration, regarding the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 as it relates to rural areas. Participants also heard from Dr. Tim Putnam, President and CEO of Margaret Mary Health, one of twelve members of the COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force. Tim shared his insights into the task force and its focus on inequities in rural communities.
