The Long View: Centering Equity in Your Philanthropic Practice

Philanthropy must commit to equitable practices and must do so urgently. But the question many of us are asking is: how do we do it? The Rippel Foundation and Grantmakers In Health codesigned a webinar where participants heard from philanthropic leaders Tiffany Donelson, President, and CEO of the Connecticut Health Foundation, and Qiana Thomason, President, and CEO of Health Forward Foundation. Participants learned how these foundations are centering equity in their work and sharing power with community partners. Designed to encourage open dialogue, the discussion explored what this work looks like internally, among staff and trustees, as well as how it unfolds externally, with grantee partners and other key stakeholders.
