DESCRIPTION:Grantmakers In Health\, along with Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities\, Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees\, Health and Environmental Funders Network\, and Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders hosted a learning tour Exploring the San Joaquin Valley: A Land of Change and Promise\, December 4-6 in Fresno\, California. \nAGENDA \nWednesday\, December 4th \n8:00 a.m. Early Registration\n9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Optional site visit: Fresno as a Study in Contrasts\nThis tour of Fresno showcased the City’s efforts to build new\, mixed income\, multi-family developments\, revitalize its downtown\, harness the benefits of high speed rail\, and support community revitalization in low-income communities by engaging citizens in the planning process.
