From the President - Now is the Time: Acting Today Will Ensure We Have A Strong Health Workforce Tomorrow
The need to develop and implement a comprehensive integrated plan to address our health workforce grows stronger every day. As some communities experience their highest COVID-19 case rate since the start of the pandemic, with providers and public health workers stretched to the breaking point, we must also devote time and resources to ensure that we have a highly trained, diverse health care and public health workforce to meet our future health needs.

Register for the 2021 Virtual GIH Fall Forum
Registration is now open for Grantmakers In Health's Virtual Fall Forum! This year's virtual convening will provide policy-engaged funders with information on current issues, access to leading thinkers, and connections with grantmaking peers. The event will consist of two timely and relevant programming series:
  • Building Momentum to Advance and Institutionalize Equity will provide practical recommendations to advance equity, use narrative as a tool for change, and leverage board leadership to institute equitable policies and practices.
  • From Crisis to Care: Decriminalizing Mental Illness and Addiction will explore policy, practice, and partnership efforts to redesign crisis response systems and more effectively and equitably address behavioral health challenges.
Sessions will take place from November 15-19, 2021. Stay tuned for additional details on session descriptions and speakers.
