The Grantmakers In Health (GIH) Annual Conference on Health Philanthropy is the nation’s largest gathering of health funders, bringing together senior leaders and staff from foundations and corporate giving programs to discuss strategies for advancing better health for all. More than a meeting, it is an opportunity for funders to learn from outside experts and philanthropic leadership, as well as to exchange information, ideas, and insights with colleagues.

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Health

Two hundred and fifty years ago America’s founders came together to say the current system of government was not working for them. This act sparked the birth of a new nation founded on principles of freedom, equality, and democracy. Today, cuts to critical health and social programs; attacks on freedom of speech; and threats to nonprofits put our fundamental freedoms, health, and well-being at risk. As a result, health funders are being asked to do more. Like America’s founders, we have an opportunity to come together to create a vision for health and health care that allows everyone to lead healthy and productive lives.
