What:

The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), also known as California’s most important environmental law, requires state and local agencies to assess, disclose, and minimize/mitigate environmental impacts of proposed projects. CEQA now faces an unprecedented level of opposition, including legislative proposals to roll back or even gut critical provisions. On this webinar, participants learned more about the environmental health and public health communities’ strategy to defend and protect this law. Featured speakers include Martha Arguello, Physicians for Social Responsibility; Bill Gallegos, Communities for a Better Environment; Bruce Reznick, California Planning and Conservation League; and Earl Lui, California Wellness Foundation.
