Collective Impact: Lessons Learned for HEAL Funders

Collective impact has been a popular strategy employed to engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders to create broad social change. Many HEAL funders have used collective impact to address factors that contribute to the obesity epidemic and create health-promoting environments and communities. This webinar showed two experienced funders and their grantee partners about how they implemented an effective collective impact strategy in different contexts, the lessons learned and challenges met along the way, and the key takeaways they have for funders and communities looking to replicate their successes. Speakers included Amy Dyett of Colorado Education Initiative, Hillary Fulton of The Colorado Health Foundation, Peter Katzmarzyk of Pennington Biomedical, and Michael Tipton of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation.
