The Bigger Picture shows how they empower youth to be a part of the conversation about Type 2 Diabetes and have reshaped that conversation in compelling and creative ways. Hodari Davis of Youth Speaks and Dean Schillinger of the University of California, San Francisco discuss The Bigger Picture – a unique collaboration between their two organization designed to combat the rising epidemic of Type 2 Diabetes by empowering youth to change the conversation about the disease, and work to change the social and environmental factors that have led to its spread. This session features performances from two of The Bigger Picture’s youth artists, Alex Fraknoi and Yosimar Reyes.
