The COVID-19 coronavirus is getting closer to being named a pandemic. Countries around the world are taking steps to prepare and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has stated that it is not a matter of if, but when the virus will spread across the United States. Now is the time for philanthropy to begin planning how it will respond and how it will invest in actions to support their communities. On this webinar, participants discussed how philanthropy can respond and what the most likely needs will be at each stage of the pandemic. Speakers included Sheena Agarwal of Give2Asia, Dr. Judy Monroe of CDC Foundation, and Jeff Schlegelmilch of the National Center for Disaster Preparedness.
