Cosponsored with Center for Disaster Philanthropy, Council on Foundations, National Center for Family Philanthropy, Grantmakers in Aging, the Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities, National VOAD, InterAction and United Philanthropy Forum.

This webinar addressed the limitations of governmental responses to the pandemic and how philanthropists can act directly, and act as advocates, for better protections for at-risk populations, including approaches for developing a public policy agenda for philanthropy, based in equity. Participants also discussed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and its impact on nonprofits and vulnerable communities. Speakers included Aaron Dorfman, President and CEO of the National Committee on Responsive Philanthropy. Sally Ray from the Center for Disaster Philanthropy moderated the discussion.
