The COVID-19 pandemic is a global disaster, but ultimately, every disaster begins and ends locally. This webinar explored place-based grantmaking and the importance of strengthening local communities and organizations to create a new philanthropic and nonprofit landscape, focused on recovery, that prioritizes equity, partnership, and collaboration. Speakers included Carmen James Randolph from Greater New Orleans Foundation and Maureen Lawless from Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities. Sally Ray from the Center for Disaster Philanthropy moderated the discussion.
