Engaging Faith Communities to Improve the Health and Well-being of Communities of Color

September 23  from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. ET

Faith leaders play a significant role in their communities, offering comfort, guidance, and leadership to congregants and connecting community members to valuable health-related resources and information. Across the country, clergy are leading local efforts to support their congregants and communities, including many who are at high risk of COVID-19 infection, but are understandably skeptical of the health care system.

This webinar discussed how the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC), by partnering with AARP and others, has worked with faith leaders and community-based organizations in Louisville, Kentucky to build trust in the health care system and improve health outcomes. Speakers included Reverend Adrian Baker of Christ Way Baptist Church, Elder Angela Overton of C-TAC, and Tihisha Rawlins of AARP.
