GIH Health Reform Resource Center

Who:

  • Robert Greenstein, Founder and President, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities

What:

The Affordable Care Act includes a significant Medicaid expansion, which could provide health insurance coverage to an estimated 17 million low-income adults and children. The Supreme Court ruling made the Medicaid expansion a state choice, which has led to debates in several states about whether the expansion will help or harm state budgets. In this webinar, Bob Greenstein of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities discussed the decision facing states, and what recent estimates suggest about the fiscal implications of the Medicaid expansion.
