Leadership Discussion on Rural Health

Monday, October 26, 2020

Similar to the way COVID-19 put a spotlight on racial and ethnic disparities, the pandemic has also shined a light on the challenges rural communities face. Over the years, Grantmakers In Health has helped funders in their work of partnering with and improving the health outcomes of rural communities. To that end, GIH President and CEO Cara James has convened a group to discuss priorities and recommendations for the field of philanthropy, expand the number of funders investing in rural health, increase the level of financial investment in rural communities, help funders to identify areas of investment, and strengthen partnerships between funders and other stakeholders.

This was the first of several conversations to improve health in rural communities. If you are interested in participating in this candid conversation, please reach out to Ann Rodgers for more information.
