Replicating Global Maternal and Child Health Innovations in the United States

As U.S. health care costs continue to rise and disparities in maternal and child health outcomes continue to widen, there is much to be learned from countries where doing more with fewer resources is the norm. This webinar taught participants about domestic maternal and child health innovations adapted from global initiatives. The speakers identified contextual parallels between vulnerable global and U.S. communities, and shared replicable lessons for improving breastfeeding rates, supporting healthy nutrition for children and families, and combating poor maternal health outcomes. Speakers included Adrianna Logalbo of 1,000 Days; Betsy McNamara of the Transforming Birth Fund; and Mireille Posse of Hispanics in Philanthropy.
