Strong, Healthy Communities: Reaching Beyond Health Care

This session, the third in the series Designing a Roadmap for a Post COVID-19 Recovery Centered on Health Equity, was designed to stimulate new thinking and identify strategic actions that can be taken to advance health equity and racial equity as the nation rebuilds after COVID-19. Participants representing a range of perspectives shared ideas on how we can reach across sectors beyond health care to make communities places where people can prosper economically.
Ideas from all four sessions in the series, which began with a workshop at the GIH Annual Conference on Health Philanthropy and will culminate with a meeting at the GIH Fall Forum, will be captured in a publication that will present cross-sector strategies for centering equity in the recovery process.
