White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health - Funder Debrief Working Session

November 9, 2022, 3:00 - 4:30 pm ET

Cosponsored by Grantmakers In Health and Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders

The White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health, the first such national convening in over 50 years, and its associated national strategy present an important opportunity for the field to mobilize around the goal of ending hunger and increasing healthy eating and physical activity by 2030 to reduce the prevalence of diet-related diseases. The White House clearly indicated that philanthropy has an important role to play in helping the Administration meet these goals, which will require strategic conversations, investments, and commitments from grantmakers across the country.

Sustainable Agriculture and Food System Funders and Grantmakers In Health hosted this call to identify key action steps funders can take in follow up to the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. We walked through the blueprint, identified areas of alignment and implications for philanthropy, and determined next steps.
