Arpita Jindani, MSW, MA

Senior Program Director

Arpita Jindani is the Senior Program Director of Health Equity at Grantmakers In Health (GIH), responsible for health equity and DEI programs. Prior to joining GIH, she worked at the Rutgers Global Health Institute and led the development of the institute’s COVID-19 equity program across multiple cities in New Jersey. Before that, Arpita worked for Rutgers’ Global Tuberculosis Institute, where she developed educational programs on tuberculosis for health professionals in the northeastern United States and the Pacific Islands. In an earlier role at the Partnership for Maternal Child Health, she led a successful immunization program that resulted in long-term immunization initiatives across New Jersey. Arpita has a master’s degree in social work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, India, and a master’s degree in health communication from Emerson College in Boston. She is also pursuing her doctorate in health communication with a focus on health equity at Rutgers University.
