Lori A. Cox is Chief Deputy County Administrator for Alameda County, California. With over 30 years of notable success working on behalf of communities, individuals, families, and at-risk children, she has led the design and implementation of several highly successful programs and innovative approaches . Previously, Cox served as Vice President of Programs at the California Wellness Foundation and, prior to joining the foundation, she held several positions within the Alameda County Social Services Agency before serving as the Agency Director for 11 years.

Cox holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology from California State University, Hayward.
