The economic, health, and social destruction wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic has been enormous, with over half a million U.S. deaths and millions more facing detrimental health consequences. Many parts of the country are also struggling to mitigate steep disparities by race, immigrant status, disability, and other risk factors. These challenges underscore the need for even greater investments in community partnerships, government systems, public media, and civic infrastructure. This call discussed collective strategies that can support COVID vaccine outreach now and strengthen civic engagement in the years ahead.
