Philanthropy Support Partners

Closer ties among philanthropy-serving organizations build stronger networks among funders, promote knowledge sharing within and across issue areas, and multiply the value of funders’ contributions. GIH's Philanthropy Support Partner organizations bring these benefits to our Funding Partners. This joint programming and knowledge sharing enriches our offerings to Funding Partners and exposes members of other affinity groups to the role health plays in their areas of concern.

Eligible organizations appear on the Council on Foundations’ list of funder networks founded by grantmakers with common interests, have a significant impact on the field of health, and conduct work that is aligned with the GIH mission. GIH has partnered over the years with many of these organizations and is now formalizing the relationships to facilitate the practice of sharing knowledge and resources with our colleague organizations.

Staff members of participating organizations will benefit from access to Funding Partner programs and services, including invitation to and reduced registration rates for the GIH Annual Conference on Health Philanthropy and the Fall Forum; invitation to closed forums such as strategy sessions, site visits, and other special events; participation in GIH Funder Networks, webinars and podcasts; access to and use of GIH e-mail forums, online access to the GIH website, electronic receipt of the monthly GIH Bulletin; and opportunities to author a Views from the Field commentary.
