Fifth Annual Public-Private Collaborations in Rural Health Meeting

Washington, DC

June 1, 2017

Grantmakers In Health, the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy, and the National Rural Health Association invite you to attend the fifth annual Public-Private Collaborations in Rural Health meeting in Washington, DC from June 1-2, 2017.

Since 2012, the Public-Private Collaborations in Rural Health meeting has convened over 120 public and private foundations, researchers, and policymakers to discuss federal programs and foundation-led initiatives in rural areas. The meeting presents an opportunity to connect, share, and discuss how combined efforts can produce better outcomes for rural residents and communities. This is the five-year anniversary of the partnership, and we look forward to collectively working to improve rural health through ideas, research, and aligned funding.

The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1 and will end at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 2. Participants will engage with high-ranking program and policy experts within the government and will discuss issues and projects relevant to improving rural health. Participants will also network with peers and learn about rural activities initiated since the last meeting. There will be a special session, "Boundary Spanning Leadership and Innovative Financing and Stewardship Models for the Promotion of Health Equity," held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2. Stay tuned for agenda details!
