On June 3, 2014, Grantmakers for Children, Youth and Families and Grantmakers In Health cohosted Building a Legacy of Healthy Children in Texas. This convening gave funders in Texas the opportunity to explore:

  • The national context for children’s health care;
  • Existing funder strategies and tools for helping children and families get coverage; and
  • Opportunities for funders to build on and deepen work already underway to build a lasting infrastructure for healthy children.

This event was open to funders engaged or interested in children’s health care in Texas, including: trustees and staff from grantmaking foundations, corporate giving programs, local and regional associations of grantmakers and United Ways.
