The theme for the 2026 Rural Health Philanthropy Partnership (RHPP) meeting was “Creating a Movement: Inspiring Innovation in Rural America.” Dr. Monica Bertagnolli, President of the National Academy of Medicine, delivered this year’s keynote address, highlighting broadening interest in rural health issues and unique opportunities offered by strategic public-private partnerships. The RHPP meeting explored how collaboration can build on progress already underway in rural and tribal communities, including rural health transformation efforts. Through a series of panel discussions, participants shared promising approaches, funding strategies, and real-world examples of innovation that are strengthening local economies, expanding opportunity, and improving quality of life. Attendees also had dedicated opportunities to engage with federal funders and space to build new connections and inspire coordinated action to build a sustainable movement for rural innovation across America.
