WASHINGTON, DC —Grantmakers In Health (GIH) is pleased to announce the elections of David Jordan, President and CEO, United Methodist Health Ministry Fund; and Regan Gruber Moffitt, Vice President of Community Investments, St. David’s Foundation; to its Board of Directors.
“We are pleased to welcome David and Regan to the GIH board,” said Cara V. James, GIH President and CEO. “In addition to their extensive experience in health philanthropy, both have been engaged with GIH for some time and are well known to many in our community.”
“David and Regan bring deep experience in philanthropy and a powerful commitment to advancing better health for all, and we are excited for them to join the GIH board,” said Qiana Thomason, GIH Board Chair and President and CEO of the Health Forward Foundation. “We are grateful for their leadership, dedication, and willingness to serve.”

David Jordan is the president and CEO of the Kansas-based United Methodist Health Ministry Fund (Health Fund), leading the statewide health foundation’s grantmaking, external relations, and policy and advocacy efforts.

Regan Gruber Moffitt is Vice President of Community Investments at the Texas-based St. David’s Foundation, where she oversees the Foundation’s strategic grantmaking, community collaborations, strategic partnerships, and grants management in support of advancing health equity in Central Texas.
The board terms for both new board members begin on March 9, 2026. GIH board members serve three-year terms, with the possibility of renewal for a second consecutive term. They represent the field’s diversity across a variety of dimensions, including gender, geographic location, life experience, organization size and type, professional skills, and race and ethnicity.
