The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health is seeking two young adult leaders to join its National Advisory Council. The council advises the foundation on its work and includes members with expertise in psychiatry, community health, peer support, social work, sociology, philanthropy, public policy, and law, as well as people with lived experience of mental health conditions.
Council members serve five-year terms and meet in person once a year, with travel expenses supported by the foundation. Members also receive an honorarium for their service.
The foundation is seeking individuals ages 18 to 26 who reside outside of Texas and who bring lived experience or perspectives related to mental health, trauma, or recovery. Applicants who reside in Texas are not eligible, in order to avoid conflicts of interest with the foundation’s grantmaking.
