KFF has released an issue brief reviewing the preliminary vaccine distribution plans submitted to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by the states and the District of Columbia. The review reveals wide variation in states’ readiness to handle vaccine distribution and gaps in capacity to mount the large-scale outreach efforts required to address vaccine hesitancy.
