The COVID-19 pandemic led many states to adopt policy changes to their Medicaid programs. Like many effects of the pandemic, these changes have the potential to disproportionately affect communities of color. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation—the nation’s largest philanthropy dedicated solely to health—is funding efforts to examine how recent Medicaid policy changes may alleviate or exacerbate racial inequity and structural racism.
Up to $1.75 million will be available for grant applicants, with preference given to applicants that are either public entities or nonprofit organizations.
