The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation announced a new grant opportunity: the Advancing Community Driven Mental Health grant program. This program will fund five community-based organizations with grants of up to $100,000 per year for two years, starting in December 2025, to improve and increase access to community based mental health services for adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health distress and practical problems of daily living, and develop the skills of a non-clinical workforce.
Letters of Interest are due July 24th, at 12 Noon EST using the foundation’s online portal.
In addition, the Catalyst Fund started accepting proposals on July 1st to be reviewed in September. Future due dates for application submissions are October 5th and November 5th.
The Catalyst Fund provides one-time non-renewable grants of up to $7,500 for a 12-month period to help community-based organizations strengthen their capacity to expand access to health and health care in Massachusetts. The Catalyst Fund is intended to help organizations pay for activities that can strengthen their infrastructure, build capacity, or plan for the future, and as its name implies, help spark innovation. As such, the Catalyst Fund does not fund ongoing programmatic expenses, or general operating costs, such as salaries.
