The Terrance Keenan Leadership Award in Health Philanthropy is presented each year to an outstanding grantmaker whose work is distinguished by leadership, innovation, achievement, creativity, and boldness. GIH invites you to nominate individuals for the 2020 award.
Nominators should submit:
- A nomination form, which provides complete contact information for the nominee, the nominator, and two individuals from an entity other than the nominator’s foundation, who support the nomination and are willing to be contacted by the selection committee.
- A nominating letter, which describes how the nominee meets the eight key criteria for this award (see Award Criteria in the Terrance Keenan award brochure) and summarizes the nominee’s achievements and leadership qualities. The letter should not exceed five single-spaced, typed pages. The extent to which the letter makes a succinct case for the candidate is more important than the letter’s length.
- No more than three attachments that illustrate the nominee’s achievements, which may include items authored by the nominee, materials produced under the nominee’s leadership, and media articles about the nominee or their work.
Nominations must be received by Friday, December 6. Questions and nomination packets should be sent to GIH Communications Director Natasha Khanna.
The Terrance Keenan Leadership Award will be presented at the 2020 GIH Annual Conference on Health Philanthropy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. For more information, including eligibility requirements, the nomination process, and award criteria, refer to the award brochure/nomination packet.
