The Director of Philanthropy works with the Chief Community Impact Officer and the Philanthropy Team to provide strategic and tactical leadership to accomplish MSHF’s mission across grantmaking. The Director of Philanthropy is a senior leader responsible for recognizing and cultivating opportunities based upon community conditions and data to improve the health of Mat-Su residents through grantmaking.

Support the grantmaking work of the BCBSNC Foundation by ensuring timely and accurate payments of grants and expenses, production of accurate, quality and timely GAAP and statutory financial reporting; ensuring adherence to financial accounting controls and polices; coordinating the monthly, quarterly and yearly close; and coordinating general ledger maintenance. Our ideal team member will thrive in and contribute to a collaborative environment, working cross-functionally to support the critical areas of finance and operations.

The Director of Strategic Initiatives will lead major strategic initiatives complementing foundation’s primary grantmaking and investment strategies and support the organization’s advocacy, capacity building, communications, and community engagement activities, in collaboration with other staff and external consultants and partners as appropriate.  This individual will also work to position The Health Foundation as a leader in advancing health equity and regional equity.
