The California Endowment released a report detailing investments made to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)-led organizations over the last 10 years through the organization’s Building Healthy Communities initiative. The report found that of the $1.8 billion awarded through the initiative, 45 percent of dollars invested went to Black-led and BIPOC-led organizations throughout California. The report provides a deeper look at where dollars are deployed across the state, which communities are being served and whether investment changes or practices are needed in order to reach more organizations led by people of color.
